Marek Brincko belongs to the youngest generation of Slovak glass artists. His early
objects fit into the geometric stream of the Slovak glass and demonstrate the influ-
ence of years spent in the studio of Pala and Palova. Here he focused on the trans-
parency of the glass matter and the optical effect of precisely shaped objects.
Since then, he has implemented expressive means of manifestation. Colour and
sculptural approach have become important factors in his work and he has turned
his attention to the outer world as the source of inspiration. His works are not only
pleasant for eyes but invite for contemplation.
