Miloš Balgavý

1955, Bratislava

Balgavý studies the intensity of color in relation to the thickness of the body. Frequent shapes in his work are narrowing leaf-like or needle-like formations. He focuses his attention on the basic geometrical shape of the sphere, which becomes the tool that delivers symbolic messages. The artist goes on making use of intense color and its effects, of the transparency of glass and its ability to capture light.
