Pavol Hlôška

1953, Banská Štiavnica

He uses optical glass and its properties, polished or matt outer surfaces, and vacuum plated segments that are eventually caked together. Sober geometrical forms, gently curved prisms that refute simplicity and lenses are his favorite shapes. He splits their inner space into countless variations by means of plated facets whose reflection waits for the spectator to move in order to surprise them with virtual motion or color changes within.
